Computers,etc fills the bill!

I just want to give a shout out to a local Tucson Business owner I think is terrific.  Her name is Christine Glanz and she owns Computers,Etc .  She had the fun task of telling me my 2 year old HP Laptop had died an unnatural death.  The Mother board gave out.  "Isn't worth putting any money into, and I'd recommend a Toshiba for fewer repair issues".  That sage advice is not unlike a great waiter or waitress that stears you away form the 4 day old fish!

If you have any repair issues, virus problems I highly recommend Computers, etc.

Have you seen Camilles?

Driving down First Avenue today out of the corner of my eye I saw

At the Northeast corner of First and Limberlost.  On the return trip we pulled in to see what it was all about.  Their motto is EAT, RELAX, ENJOY.  You certainly can with the pleasing and whimsical interior.  A 'Fresh Alternative' to fast food their menu includes Wraps, Salads, Grilled Hot-Wraps, Panini, Sandwhiches, Flatbread Pizza, Smoothies, and their own Camille Kids' Menu.

They have a New! Breakfast menu and open at 7am Monday-Friday, Saturday's at 8am and Sunday's at 10am.  They close Monday-Saturday at 8pm and close at 6pm on Sundays.

They have daily specials that they advertise.  It just so happened that Tuesday's special is what they call BOGO TUESDAY.  Buy one entree & beverage at regular price and receive a second entree of equal or lesser value for FREE.  SCORE!  Charles had the Cafe Chicken Salad Sandwich which was very tasty and more than ample and I had the Turkey Habanero Panini.  Not to worry, this habanero barely lets you feel it's heat. The perfect accent to the mango dressing.   If you're into sharing either of these plates would be enough for two people.  (and as you can see we're not exactly dainty!) We would definately recommend you check out Camilles and tell us what you think!

How NOT to fix the budget

Leave it to the County Board of Supervisors (Ray Carroll, not withstanding, the only decenting voice on this...) to decide that fixing the budget woes would best be done by dumping former County Workers (retired) from the County's Health Care rosters.  Not that the county is paying for their healthcare, but providing accessability at a reasonable rate.  Thereby doubling, or more, their costs in their retirement years.

That's the County's way of saying "Thanks for your years of service!"

Rodney Glassman sets aim on the Senate!

the Huffington Post had this to say about Tucson's Rodney Glassman entering the Senate Race for Jon McCain's seat...

Music is playing at Rancho Sahuarita.  Look at all the merchants available there now with more coming.  Quite an accomplishment for the UpStart Community!

Things we NEVER have to deal with in Tucson

When pest control workers were asked to help remove a dangerously Long Realty icicle hanging from a building in Norrköping, in eastern Sweden, they took the unusual step of shooting it down with a rifle.

Thanks to their creativity, the icicle came down safely. However, local police were less than impressed, stating the workers had no authorization to shoot the icicle. The incident will be reported, and the pest control company might face charges.
